Jimmy Mesene is quite simply the supreme vocalist of the 1930s and early 1940s and this is why we have chosen to create a website dedicated to the great man. No one, on hearing one of his haunting recordings, could ever be the same again – the world has suddenly become a better place.

A number of unanswered questions remain although recent contact with James Messini - Jimmy's only child, has tidied up many of the loose ends about Jimmy's life in the UK.

But the story is incomplete and this is where we ask you to share any knowledge you may have to help our site grow into a tribute that is worthy to honour the unique, legendary Jimmy Mesene.

Our aim is to spread the name of Mesene, consequently, we welcome everyone to this site – if you have any memories or information to share that would be wonderful, if you don’t then that’s fine – just sit back and immerse yourself in all things Mesene.

Please have a look around the site and see whether you have any information that we might like to add:
