Here's some of the many fantastic live recordings I managed to make way back in the 70s & 80s. All feature Tony Lee and a host of other fine UK Jazz musicians. There is a link to my Google cloud drive from where they can be downloaded for free at the end of this. For me, Tony was one of the UK's most underrated pianists. I shall always remember the great pleasure he gave to all who heard him play, something you can clearly appreciate on all the recordings.

(On the other side is a list of recordings available.)

All 32 gigs are free to download. Going by the line-ups there are some great gigs here.
Sound is good considering the source although only in mp3 format - mid range bitrate.

Bebop Spoken here is a blog that will interest most jazz followers. http://www.lance- bebopspokenhere.blogspot.com/
Run by Lance Liddle in the North East he describes it below:
Bebop Spoken Here -- Here, being the north-east of England -- centred in the blues heartland of Newcastle and reaching down to the Tees Delta and looking upwards to the Land of the Kilt. Not a very original title, I know; not even an accurate one as my taste, whilst centred around the music of Bird and Diz, extends in many directions and I listen to everything from King Oliver to Chick Corea and beyond. Not forgetting the Great American Songbook the contents of which has provided the inspiration for much great jazz and quality popular singing for round about a century. The idea of this blog is for you to share your thoughts and pass on your comments on discs, gigs, jazz - music in general. If you've been to a gig/concert or heard a CD that knocked you sideways please share your views with us. Tell us about your favourites, your memories, your dislikes. Lance wishes it to be known that he is not responsible for postings other than his own and that he's not always responsible for them.

News of a jazz blog that may be of interest to visitors to this site. The blog offers up pre 1960 jazz and comes with a statement of purpose that says:"This blog is dedicated to the promotion, presevation, dissemination and discussion of pre-1960 British jazz. Contributions of all styles are welcome but the emphasis will be on modern jazz from the era".
