Hawthorn Dale Jimmy had been out of the music business for twenty years when he died in Montreal and his passing was unrecorded in the musical press for a number of years. Information is sketchy but what is known is that he was buried in Hawthorn Dale cemetery in Montreal. One side issue is that nobody has ever claimed his song royalties although he was married at the time of his death Link
